Municipal pumping stations

Municipal pumping stations are designed to collect street sewage and pump it to city networks. Pumping stations ensure the collection and pumping of sewage wastewater. As an additional equipment, you can choose a notification system that provides text messages to a mobile phone in case of an emergency.

Equipment of municipal pumping stations

  • Municipal pumping stations can be equipped with DN50-DN300 diameterpressure lines, made of high-density polyethylene PE100RC, or stainless steel AISI304, according to the customer's choice.

  • Included in the equipmentball check valves, which ensures the flow of wastewater in only one direction, ensuring the safety of the consumer from the risk of flooding, is isolated from the common sewage system.

  • In addition to safety and convenient maintenance of the check valve, there are alsowedge-shaped latches, which are closed in case the non-return valves are not working or need to be serviced.

  • Pump lift pipes made of stainless steel AISI304, which ensures that the pumps can be raised or lowered into the well without the need to climb into it. Stainless steel chains are also available for this purpose.

  • Pumps can be activated withhydrostatic level transmitter or float system, which can be set at different heights, depending on the amount of inflowing wastewater. To adjust the number of times of activation, as soon as the set filling of the well is reached - the pump turns on and pumps the wastewater in the tank to the adjusted shutdown level, the second pump works alternately or connects to help the first one if it cannot cope.

Servicing of pumping stations

In the event that the well is full, the chains intended for raising the pumps are fixed in the upper part of the well, therefore they are easily accessible, lifting the pump is easy.

The diameter of the station is designed to ensure the amount of working volume, taking into account the dimensions of the equipment to be placed.

Level sensors or floats are easily removed from the top of the well, so there is no need to climb inside our pumping stations.

In cases when the system does not work for unknown reasons, the wells are large enough to have a place for waste water accumulation (buffer tank) for at least one day, thus the consumers connected to the system can safely use the utility services, because the internal equipment of the wells can be completely under water and it will work perfectly when the pump is restored.

Application of municipal pumping stations

  1. In cases where the sewerage system is located deep in the ground and it is necessary to raise the system higher or shallower. Usually, high groundwater levels are the main reason and excavation at depth is very expensive.

  2. In cases where the treatment plants are located too far from the city's sewerage networks and it is necessary to transport the wastewater over a longer distance, because the construction of the pressure pipe can be done at a fixed depth throughout the depth of the route, whereas the depth of the sewer system must be dug deeper after each running meter and it is not possible to continue indefinitely. The diameter of the pipe is also much smaller, which reduces expenses.

Advantages of pumping stations

  • Lightweight polyethylene (PE100) construction

  • Easy to install in the ground, no separate concrete base plate is required

  • Resistant to high groundwater conditions, self-anchoring base part

  • Easy-to-lift pumps, large fraction receiver and easy-to-lift service platforms

  • Large working volume for waste water collection

  • Multiple connections, to varying degrees, as needed

  • A large free lid opening is adapted so that the pumps and the fraction receiver can be lifted out independently of each other

  • Durable double wall housing

  • Industrially made

  • Inner diameter 1000-3000mm

  • Installation depth on request up to 12.5m

  • Pumps from a very reliable manufacturer

  • Automatic restoration of operation in the event of a power outage for a longer period of time

  • Self-anchoring, with concrete filling at the base of the well, which protects mechanisms from the influence of groundwater pressure
